Senior Network Designer

• Engagement Type: Part-time Contract (3 months)
• Work Schedule: 3 half-days per week (Online/ Office in Greater Colombo)
• Remuneration: LKR 15,000 per week

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in network design, architecture, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of IoT connectivity, computer-to-cloud integrations, and distributed systems.
• Expertise in identifying and implementing communication protocols (wired, wireless, cloud-based).
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and deliver within tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee connections between IoT devices and computers.
• Ensure seamless integration between computer systems and cloud platforms.
• Evaluate and recommend suitable communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, COAP, HTTP, Modbus, OPC UA).
• Assess protocol efficiency, scalability, and security for various IoT and cloud environments.
• Provide technical guidance on network optimization and best practices.
• Deliver documentation and design recommendations supporting the overall system architecture
